Pay for CDL Operators is up to $18.00/hour. If you don't have a CDL, we will train you to get a CDL. Pay for Non-CDL Operators is up to $15.50/hour. We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities depending on position availability. Our bus operators are primarily responsible for providing fixed-route bus services throughout the City of Lubbock as well as services on the Texas Tech University campus. Paratransit (CitiAccess) van operators are responsible for providing non-emergency medical transportation for disabled and Medicaid-eligible passengers. Citibus is a drug-free workplace. Applicants must be able to pass a DOT physical/drug screen and criminal background check.
- Vehicle Maintenance Technician
Job description
Summary of Position: Primary duties are to conduct inspections on Citibus vehicles to ensure compliance of emission standards and governmental regulations and other duties as assigned. Some outside working hours may be required for special events and training.
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED and six (6) months of automotive mechanical work experience. Preferred experience includes mechanical work with buses and heavy duty trucks.
- Must have at least one year of driving experience with a valid Texas driver's license and be willing and able to obtain a CDL after 90 days of employment.
Citibus is a drug-free workplace. Successful applicant must pass a DOT drug screen and physical.
