In order to conduct business with Citibus, you must first become a vendor with the City of Lubbock. So, your first step starts here.
For more information on this process, reach out to the city:
In addition to becoming a vendor with the City of Lubbock, it is advisable to register with BidSync, the automated bid notification system that the City uses. The vendor application has information on how to register with Bid Sync. Benefits of doing so:
Citibus has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 26. Citibus has received Federal financial assistance from the Department of Transportation, and as a condition of receiving this assistance, Citibus has signed an assurance that it will comply with 49 CFR Part 26.
It is the policy of Citibus to ensure that DBEs as defined in Part 26, have an equal opportunity to receive and participate in DOT-assisted contract. Currently our goal for DBE contract participation is 1.0%.
Texas Department of Transportation is the DBE Certification agent for this area.
